Just finished looking at the website and it looks great. You've heard the saying - "good things come to those who wait." I hope the members enjoy the website. Need now to get the word out to everyone.

I agree. I have a funny story about that song. I used to sing it a lot when my kids were young. When my son was on the football team in high school they were traveling to another school. The players starting to sing, We are the Hawks, mighty .... and, my son burst out singing and instead of singing Hawks he sang out Pioneers. They all stopped and looked at him. Embarrssing but nice to know he had listened to me after all!

Here is the original Alma Mater song...
Far above Ohio's waters, in the hills so high dwells a band of hearty Pioneers, they will do or die. On ye Pioneers, on ye Pioneers, on to victory, we will fight the foe tonight, for all eternity.
This is meant to be a fight song before football or basketball games. You changed it at some point.

Such a sweet song and everyone knew the words. another fight song but I'm missing the beginning of the second verse. I still remember the twirling routine we majorettes performed with this song. Let's give a cheer for our Greenhills High School The best school in the land. Our hearts forever be true and faithful to her traditions fine and grand. To bring us victory Raise your voices loud and strong Never fear, the battles won For it's Greenhills High today.

Hi, I did not graduate from GHS, but my sister and brother did.(Pam Wing and Ron Wing) We moved away while I was in jr high....anyone havee any idea how I can find Sandy Ellis from the class of 1976. She had a brother Rob and other siblings. They lived on Ingram Lane in the 60s and 70s....Thanks, Priscilla Wing Copple
